Studio Policies

Practice:   Students are encouraged to practice consistently and for at least one half-hour in a day. As a student advances, so practice
increases. Usually, the length of the lesson is a good gauge for daily practice.

There are opportunities for students to perform in recital. The studio offers one in the spring each year. Other studios offer time on their recitals, should someone wish for more experience. Please encourage students to play and support others with attendance. Dropping out at the lat minute will be considered grounds for possible dismissal from the studio.
All students are invited and strongly encouraged to perform in the studio  recital during the year. I encourage .individual  recitals. Please speak to me. This is part of the lesson.

Audition Practice
All students are given the opportunity to practice their audition skills, prior to an audition. Each auditioning student must prepare a piece, scales, and for sight-reading, Beginning students at their option
may use audition using method books, intermediate students must use either district or All State requirements, advanced students must use the upcoming All State requirements.

Opportunity will be provided for learning audition skills in the lesson.

Studio hours are Sunday Midday, Monday through Thursday - 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Studio vacations are announced well in advance.
